What did they find?

One Aucklander’s weekend has significantly improved just in time for Mother’s Day after winning the Lotto Powerball Jackpot of $18,333,333.

They get to claim the entire fortune being the only Division One Powerball winner.

The winning ticket was sold at Paper Plus Remuera and is made up of $18 million from Powerball First Division and $333,333 from Lotto First Division.

The winning numbers were 4, 10, 12, 33, 38, 40 with the bonus ball being 27 and the Powerball 01.

The next significant win in Saturday’s draw went to two division one lotto winners from Auckland and Christchurch who each took home $333,333.

These tickets were sold at Lucky Shop Lotto in Auckland and Countdown Eastgate in Christchurch.

There were a total of 29,120 Powerball winners in Saturday’s draw, 384,644 Lotto winners, and 140,404 Strike winners.

The last big Powerball win was in April when a MyLotto player from Northland won $8.3 million.

The largest Lotto win by a single ticket holder in New Zealand was $44 million, a young couple from the Hibiscus Coast, in 2016.

Lotto also announced its Mother’s Day promotion winners where they gave away five Mercedes-Benz A-Class, five $20,000 travel prizes, 20 $10,000 shopping prizes, and 20 prizes of $10,000 cash.

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class were picked up by residents of Auckland, Wellsford, Waiuku, and Marlborough.

Strike Four was left unstruck rolling over to Wednesday with a jackpot of $300,000.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ app.
